I Ask You....

...are you surprised at this?

Losing indicators — 91% of Liberals, 90% of Bloc supporters, believe in global warming
"Only 6% of Liberals and 9% of Bloc supporters have read and heard that the Earth has not been getting warmer, and just 3% and 1%, respectively, aren’t sure.

Canada’s Conservatives have been exposed to different views: 64% have heard that Earth has been getting warmer and 28% that Earth has not. 8% of Conservatives aren’t sure.

In the U.S., where a much more diverse press more often exposes the public to sceptical views on global warming, more Republicans respond “No” than “Yes” (43 to 41, with 17% not sure). Democrats in the U.S., in contrast, predominantly have heard that Earth has been warming (69% to 16%, with 15% unsure)."
The study compared Canadian with American views and looked at political affiliation of those who believed or were skeptical of various aspects of the global warming hype. Sadly, Americans seems to have far more sense on this matter than Canadians do:
"Belief in climate change among Canadians substantially outpaces belief in this phenomenon among residents of the United States."
"Americans remain highly divided on claims that scientists are manipulating climate research for their own interests, with most Canadians rejecting such claims."
...but there's hope:
"Partisan affiliation is also associated with individual views on global warming in Canada, with Conservative Party supporters significantly less likely than supporters of all other parties to believe the Earth is warming."
Just so we're clear on this, they never asked me. I suspect they only interviewed residents of the Saanich-Gulf Islands Constituency and maybe the inner precincts of our largest cities.

Anyway, this study was done and published before our recent election and, ahem, look at what happened to the Libs and Bloqists - and the Cons.
