Happy Hundredth, Marshall - I Guess
Apparently this guy was born a hundred years ago today:
I never understood what was so profound (or whatever it was supposed to be) about Marshall McLuhan. As with the above video, his babbling sounded like so much academic baffle-gab. Many words, but no actual meaning. I suspect that leaving his listeners scratching their heads wondering what the "F" he was talking about was evidence of his brilliance. To me, it was evidence of how phoney the elites of the day really where.
