Round-up

Next time let's just turn that country into dust and be done with it. Maybe Pakistan should get the same treatment. Speaking of which:

US Drones kill 48 militants

Except we're not too sure what the number is:

Suspected US Drone strikes kill 38 Militants in Pakistan

Drones kill 30 Waziristans

U.S. drone strikes kill 45 suspected militants in Pakistan

Okay. So take your pick.  Thirty or more fewer dickheads to deal with is a good thing. Right?

Elsewhere in the Dysfunctional Islamosphere:

Gaddafi regime 'ready for talks' on transition of power to rebels

France says Libya political solution taking shape

I'll believe it when I see it. But just in case it actually happens, I wonder who's next? Will the people in Tahrir Square get their turn?

Meanwhile, the Baathist goons in Syria are getting a good verbal beating, if nothing else, from Shillary.
"Denunciation of Assad by Hillary Clinton brought condemnation by Syrian state media. It cited "additional evidence" of "flagrant" interference by the US, which was urged to refrain from acts "provoking the Syrian people's emotions and pride"."
If the Syrian regime falls, the goons in Iran and Hezbollah will be in need of clean undergarments, probably more than once. This has very far reaching consequences.

I never thought I'd say this, but I wish Hillary were President. We might have seen much more support from Washington for the students in the streets of Tehran a couple of years ago.

Anyway, the march of history has picked up pace and shows no signs of slowing down.

Following those links ...

How many morons can fit on the head of a pin? Starting with Guardian journalists, the Archbishop of Canterbury, various and sundry "international law experts" and UN officials...

"Osama bin Laden death: Pakistan says US may have breached sovereignty - Fresh doubts raised over the legality of killing al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden"

There's a large number of amazing statements in this article. Among others, I'm again amazed that such an intellectually lost and morally befuddled man as Rowan Williams became Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Anglican Church. Once upon a time, that office was filled by far more worthy men.

Here's the laughable ending sentence, "...Such questions may only be resolved if the instructions given to the US navy Seals are published and clarification given about what efforts were made [to] force Bin Laden to surrender."

Published? Yeah, right. They were obviously (and rightly) sent in with orders to kill Bin Laden on the spot and bring back his corpse. Mission accomplished; the #1 enemy of the American people is dead.

Hehehehe. I can see him munching on crumpets and sipping a cup of tea with his little finger sticking out as he enunciates his astute analysis of all that is wrong with the way bin Laden was fed to the sharks....and nobody is listening.
