A stubble jumper is a prairie farmer. I'm from Saskatchewan and my dad was a farmer, so the name is apt. "Redneck" needs no explanation. It's anyone who disagrees with a lunatic leftie. My blog is mostly about the Middle East but other issues also catch my eye and get me going. I monitor comments to keep out trolls and lunatic lefties. Anyone who is zealously anti-American and anti-democracy in the Middle East is NOT welcome.

Well, I guess he has Bi-Polar Disorder, so we are supposed to feel sorry for him and show our compassion by voting him into our provincial legislature.
Anyway, makes me wonder if all streakers are in a manic phase of their bi-polar disorder. That might explain a lot. And our elected politicians are crazy enough as it is. Why make it worse?
And speaking of manias, I'm looking forward to the coming week. Jack Layton was buried yesterday, so, hopefully, the media will turn off the 24/7 worship and adulation fest and by that time Irene will have petered out and the global warming promoters can go back into their holes and start looking for more evidence where there is none.
Speaking of which.
And speaking of Irene, has she hit you yet?
Irene came and went. We got a lot of rain, some gusty winds, two or three flickering power incidents, an exciting 1 hour tornado alert. Now, the rain has stopped, it's still overcast and a bit blustery outside. I believe there's a few flash-flooded spots in the county and a few trees down here and there but no major damage, thank God!
I'm still trying to reach my sister (also named Irene) at the other end of the county. Her home phone is on, or at least I get a ring, not answered. I just left a message for her at her cell phone number.
Tornado alerts are "exciting"? Never been to Kansas, have you.
