Graham James Gets...

...two years. (Updates from SunTV below) Not two years less a day, as is often the case, but two full years. The significance of that is that two full years is a Federal pen sentence. One day less, he'd be heading to a provincial pen, where all the petty thieves and whatnot go.

Two years means he has to spend seven hundred and thirty days with hardcore criminals. I hope his new bunk mates take care of things - every - single - one - of - those - days - for him (if you know what I mean).

Read Greg Gilhooly's victim's impact statement. Frankly, I don't think two years is enough. Perhaps two years for each of his victims, but not two years total.

UPDATE: The truth from one of his victims:

And another:

Sun TV has lots of videos reacting to this verdict.

2 years for each offence is not enough. I think 5 for each would approach a fair starting point. One more thing. The word concurrent should be removed from the dictionary used by our almost justice system.

I've been thinking about what you've said. I agree in a way, but I think perhaps a more just sentence would be 2 years for each assault. Some (if not all) of his victims were abused over, and over, and over, and over.

Reading Greg Gilhooley's Victim Impact Statement one can't but help being left with the impression that James left these boys each with a lifetime sentence of mental and emotional anguish. That's a life sentence that most likely will never be over until they are in their graves, especially considering the relatively light sentence Graham James received, which is like rubbing salt into wounds.

Oh, and no chance of parole. Period!

Two years for a pedophile, "in the general population", as Yankee prisons describe it, would be two years in hell for this rodent. And that's if he survives, if he isn't found dead in the shower. That's what happened down here to the loathsome Jeffrey Dahmer. I expect the prison authorities will keep him in a solitary cell, for his own protection.

Having read what happens to child abusers in prisons, and considering that many of the inmates will have experienced the same type of abuse when they were children, I'm sure his proper penalty will be meted out again and again and again.

Most likely some prison guard can arrange more than enough occasions for the inmates to receive their "conjugal rights" with James as their bitch.

I'm counting on it.
