The Top 5 Non-Energy Sources of Climate Change

Among them are cow farts (14 - 18%) and deforestation (one fifth of emissions) in third world countries.

I've never bought into that cow farts angle, though.  I'm sure bison farts were almost the same. There were 60,000,000 of them before Columbus.

Well maybe cows fart a lot more than bison because of what we feed them getting them ready for the slaughter house. Bison grazed on grasslands alone. But then again, maybe bison farted as much as cows and that why we had fairly temperate weather back then. After we slaughtered them all, the fossil fuel burning picked up the slack. My theory is plausible, don't cha think? (:<))

Test completed and successful. Weird thing have been happening with my connection lately. If you've been having trouble posting comments perhaps that's why. I don't know who to blame but I'll settle for Sasktel.

It has to be bison farts. Remember the Viking agricultural settlements in the south shore of Greenland way back in the early middle ages.

Mind you, maybe it was the Chinese who have been burning coal for 3000 years. According to Wikipedia the Chinese were able to take three baths per week!! by burning coal to heat water. They must have been very clean people and not the least bit smelly.

Your Chinese theory is as plausible as my bison fart theory.
